Terms
Last updated: October 14, 2026
These terms cover your use of SketchupConverter.com. By creating an account or converting a file you agree to them.
What we do
You upload a SketchUp (.skp) file and choose a SketchUp version. We rebuild the model in a file format that version can open. Some content isn't carried over, such as scenes, custom styles and text labels. We list what was left out after each conversion. We don't promise that every file will convert or that the result will match the original exactly.
Your account
You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email. Keep access to that inbox secure; anyone who can read it can sign in as you. One person per account.
Your files
- You must have the right to upload and convert every file you send us.
- Your files stay yours. We only use them to run the conversion you asked for.
- We delete your upload when its conversion finishes and the converted file after 7 days. Keep your own copies.
- Don't upload anything illegal, harmful or that you don't have rights to.
Payments
- Your first conversion is free. After that you buy single-file credits or subscribe to the monthly plan.
- Single-file credits are one-time payments. They don't expire.
- The monthly plan renews every month until you cancel. Each month includes 30 conversions; unused ones don't carry over. You can cancel anytime from your dashboard and keep the plan until the end of the month you've paid for.
- If you bought Unlimited before it was retired, it keeps covering unlimited conversions for as long as we run the service.
- If a conversion fails, the credit goes back to your account automatically.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown in USD before you pay.
Refunds
Email support@sketchupconverter.com within 14 days of buying and we'll refund you if you haven't used your purchase, or if a converted file doesn't open in the SketchUp version you picked. This doesn't affect any rights you have under consumer law.
Fair use
Plans are for your own work. Don't share your account, resell conversions, automate uploads or try to overload or break the service. We may suspend accounts that do.
Our responsibility
We work hard to keep the service running and your files safe, but we provide it as it is. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses such as lost work or profits, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months. Always keep a copy of your original files.
Trademarks
